Sam led Friday night Shabbat services and Saturday services at Congregation Knesseth Israel in Bound Brook, NJ.

Sam chanted the Maftir for Torah portion Va'eira (Exodus 9:33-35), and the Haftarah portion for Rosh Chodesh - Isaiah 66:1-13, 24.

The party was held at Madeline's, 518 Vosseller Avenue in Bound Brook.

Our music was provided by City Sounds Entertainment, and we had 4 video game set-ups for the kids, run by The Main Event.

We had one last get-together with our guests at breakfast on Sunday morning in the Hilton Garden Inn restaurant.

For his Bar Mitzvah project, Sam collected food for the Somerset County Food Bank. So far he's gotten donations of over 30 pounds of fresh produce, and 20+ bags of canned/boxed goods.

He also asked members of our temple to donate the turkeys they earn at the supermarket to the the food bank.

Instead of having flowers at the pulpit, we had a basket of boxed goods, and the decorations at the tables at the party used cans as a base for the centerpieces.
